ACD Poonch constitutes committee to conduct inquiry into misuse of funds in block Mendhar

POONCH, Mar 14: Taking cognizance of the news item published in Early Times about misuse of funds in block Mendhar, the office of Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Poonch constituted a committee of two officers to probe the matter.
The Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Poonch Rajesh Lakhan issued an order No. ACDP/Compl./2021-22/ 19755-60 dated 12/03/2022 for constitution of enquiry committee in connection with complaint raised in newspaper against the officials of Block Mendhar.
The order reads as whereas a news items has been published in leading newspaper against the officials of the Rural Development Department Block Mendhar regarding misuse of funds pertaining to the work namely "P/Work near house of Lovely to Mandir".
"Consequent to above, the committee of following officers/ officials Tasadiq Hussain AD Planning ACD office Poonch and Ajaz Hussain SO Planning block Surankote is hereby constituted to enquire into the matter in detail," it reads.
It further reads that the committee shall go through the content of the news and other document and submit the detailed enquiry report along with specific comments to this office fixing the responsibility of erring officials if any within week's time for further course of action.
Pertinently as per news item the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Mendhar has misused the amount of a work pacca P/work near house of Lovely to Mandir. Locals of Dhachal, Gohlad in Mendhar block said that some people are looting the department with both the hands, they've no caress of religious places or any other. Irony is that one persons has withdrawn the whole amount of five persons from bank which raised many questions on bank authorities too. Complaints of the villagers have said that, they have approached to Block Development Officer Mendhar last month, who saught the report from Panchayat secretary but no report has been given by secretary Panchayat right now. Locals have said that department is withdrawing the amount to some blue eyed persons and are not taking work properly. They have appealed to Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Director RDD and Panchayati Raj Jammu to intervene into the matter and take strict action against involved officials after thorough investigation. When connected to Panchayat secretary in this regard he was have no satisfactory response in this regard.
