PDD XEn directed to tighten loose wires | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 14: Taking cognizance of the news story, ‘Short circuit in power supply lines damages appliances, PDD unmoved’ carried in Early Times on Monday, the official spokesman on Monday stated that loose wires will be tightened soon. Deputy Director Information Jammu tweeted: “As per the concerned official from PDD, the matter has been taken into notice and the concerned XEn has been asked to tighten the loose wires.” It’s in place to mention here that residents of village Keran Pattiyan in Bantalab area on city outskirts had told this newspaper that were going through anxious m ments due to the alleged negligence of Power Development Department (PDD). They had revealed that the height of PDD’s carelessness could be gauged from the fact that a few days back a short circuit caused by the loose electric supply wires damaged several electrical appliances worth lakhs in their households. “Several of our electric appliances including water purifier, transformer, set top box, fans and switches were completely gutted due to the sudden short circuit caused by the supply wires recently. PDD is solely responsible for our losses. It (PDD) should compensate us for our damages,” they had said. |
