Jammu, Mar 14: The tussle between the two important institutions in Kishtwar District viz DDC Chairperson Kishtwar and District Administration Kishtwar continued and tussle has now turn into an open spat follow the issuance of “Show cause” notice to Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar and Assistant Labour Commissioner Kishtwar for skipping the important review meeting with regard to acceptance of the demand by the District Administration at an agreement reach out between the two parties following 21 days strike by the DDC Chairperson Kishtwar Pooja Thakur in support of the demand for providing jobs to the local unemployed youths in Kishtwar power projects along with other demands raised by them including framing of comprehensive job policy for local unemployed youths, Rehabilitation of Project Affected People, distribution of pending compensation and other related issues.
As per the details available with Early Tiles, DDC Chairperson Kishtwar vide No:-C/DDC/K/2021-22/ 445-49 Dated: 14 - 03 - 2022 issued Show cause notice Vide meeting notice no C/DDC/K/ 2021-22/400-411 Dated : 08-03-2022.
“You were required to attend a review meeting of project heads with regards to various issues pertaining to job policy and other issues agreed upon during the meetings convened w-e-f 03-02-2022 to 08-02-2022 along with the project heads of various HEP operational in district Kishtwar. But it is unfortunate to know that you have chosen to attend the meeting, neither have you communicated any reasons for doing so which is a matter of serious concern and points towards the administrative breakdown unbecoming of a senior administrative officer” read the notice added that “The district development council is a statutory body which has come into being through an act of parliament and is the soul public representative body trusted and empowered to plan, look after and monitor the execution of all developmental works in the district and all the administrative officers and any other private agencies working in the district are answerable and bound by any order or instruction of the council.” She added.
DDC Chairperson stated that conduct of all those who were called for the meeting is being viewed seriously as an attempt to undermine the authority of the council and the chairperson.
“You are therefore called upon to show cause within a period of one week as to why you have failed to attend the said meeting which tantamount to undermining the authority of the council. Before then matter is taken up with the government for appropriate action under law.” The show cause notice further read.
