Rajouri, Mar 21: In yet another instance of the official apathy, a bridge connecting Sole village with Sada hamlet in Rajouri district has been left incomplete.
According to the residents this bridge was constructed five years ago but the contractor forgot to construct the approach road leading to the bridge. “We have approached the concerned officials on many occasions but our pleas have fallen flat on the deaf ears. “It seems the bills of the contractor were cleared by the officials without even inspecting the site,” they said, adding, “This bridge being left incomplete for five years clearly shows the lackadaisical attitude of the concerned department and the officials.” |
