| Criminal absconding in theft cases arrested: Reasi police | | | Early Times Report
REASI, Mar 28: Continuing the drive against absconding criminals launched by District Police Reasi, today Police team of Police Station Reasi on a specific information arrested absconding criminal Farooq Ahmed Rather S/O Mohd Shairef R/O Thaloran Gandoh Doda from Jammu.
Farooq a notorious thief was absconding in case FIR No.04/2016, 73/2016 and 98/2017 US 454/380/34 RPC of Police Station Reasi.
During investigations cases got proved against him and chargsheeted in the court of law. He was facing trial in these theft cases.
To avoid conviction accused jumped trial proceedings and becomes underground.
A General Warrant of Arrest was issued against him by Hon'ble Court of Munsif Reasi on 03/09/2019.
Reasi Police developed specific information and arrested the accused from Jammu and Produced him in court of law at Reasi. Hon'ble Court sent him to judicial custody at district jail Reasi. |
