Jammu, Mar 28: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday announced the rollout of the doorstep ration delivery scheme, saying the poor will no longer need to stand in queues as good quality ration will be delivered at their doorstep. An analyst while talking to Early Times said, “In J&K people are not even provided ration at ration shops, forget delivering at door steps. Many schemes that were announced for poor in J&K are still confined to papers only.” It’s in place to mention here that soon after taking over as the Chief Minister of Punjab he had announced the decision of his government to regularize 35,000 daily wagers. In J&K more than 60,000 casual workers have been given lollipops during the past so many decades. |
