Kishtwar, Mar 28: The people of village Dudwah in Tehsil Bagla Bharat in Doda District today held a strong protest against non-availability of the road and basic facilities to the people of the area having population of more than 8000 souls.
As per the details available with Early Times, people vent their anger against various political parties and successive governments who ruled Jammu and Kashmir since independence . Dudwah is a village which lies in Tehsil Bharth Bagla at very high altitude of nearly 8000 feet with no basic facilities even after 75 years of independence.
The people said that they are voting since 1947 to get benefits from various Government schemes and to make peoples livelihood better.
They said that there is no road link which can connect them with other habilitations in the area as well as with the District headquarter and lacks proper facilities in absence of the road.
“There is dispensary without facilities, no proper education system and we can't reach district hospital on time while taking patient during Emergency on shoulders- Our children's can't reach school and colleges due to lack of road. A teacher can't reach here on time due to lack of road, and no govt employee can reach here on time due to lack of road. It is all about roads” said angry locals.
People also said that under the Sobaghya scheme, every village got its due share and only the people of Dudwah remained without proper electricity.
“We are using wooden poles to get electricity in 20th centuary-No iron poles were given to us by the government” said the protesting villagers.
Social activist Syed Tanvir criticized Central Government especially PM Modi's Popular slogan Sabka sath, Sabka vikas and Sabka Vishwas.
He said that there is no Sath, No Vikas and No Vishwas as their is no Road and other basic facilities for the people of Dudwah.
People said that if govt fail to provide Road to the people of Dudwah from Bagla, they will launch a strong campaign against political parties during election and no one will vote to choose any government from the village.
People also said if their genuine demands will not be fulfilled before election, they will celebrate Election Day as Black day on the day of voting.
They said that other habilitations and villages in the area are also in the same condition like Razdan pura, Khanaday pura, Wani pura, Brahman pura, Bathmal & Harkhan added that all these villages will be benifittted and get connected with the world only by the said 5 KM road from Bagla to Dudwah.
They said that people of Bharath Bagla are peaceful and united against every injustice and sufferings and called upon the government to address their genuine demands before people hit the streets and held protests in whole area.
