DH Kulgam sans pathologist; patients forced to go to market to carry out tests | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Apr 9: Despite the claims of Jammu & Kashmir administration that health sector in the union territory has progressed by leaps and bounds the situation on the ground is totally different with people running from pillar to post in order to carry out even a simple medical investigation. The pathology lab of the District Hospital Kulgam is in shambles and the worst part is that no pathologist has been posted at this lab. The patients have to carry out most of the tests in the market since these are not done at the hospital lab. The patients have to shell out money in order to carry out these tests. The patients as well as attendants visiting this hospital say that there is no professional pathologist at this hospital with the investigations being carried out by staff not well versed with the same. They have demanded from an intervention from LG Manoj Sinha in this regard and said that the concerned officers as well as officials should be taken to task. |
