RTC employees hold protest in support of pending salary; project other demands | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Apr 9: The Road Transport Corporation (RTC) employees today carried out a protest demonstration in support of their demands and said that their salary is pending for the past four months or so. The protesting RTC employees said that it is an irony that the Jammu & Kashmir administration has money to purchase new buses but at the same time it does not have the funds for salary of its employees. The protesters said that there are scores of employees who are working on consolidated wages for 12 years and their services have not been regularized. The protesters said that retirement benefits have not been given to the RTC employees who have retired over the past few years. They demanded intervention from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard and said that the salary should be released at the earliest. |
