According to this communiqué, the officer holds charge of Block Uri, Boniyar, Bhijama, Paranpillan and Noorkha. The officer has decided to attend two blocks in a day to attend official work and hear grievances of the general public, however has designated specific locations for carrying official works. The officer has notified three locations-Uri, Chandarwari and Bimyar- for attending official work of all five blocks. While sharing this official communication, several netizens criticized the Jammu and Kashmir Government and said that the primary department responsible for carrying developmental works in far-off areas was facing shortage of officers. “It is astonishing to see this department facing a shortage of officers. This department is responsible for basic development of rural areas in Jammu and Kashmir. How has this government allowed one officer to look after five blocks,” they said. As reported earlier, the rural development department was also facing a shortage of officers; however the incumbent administration isn’t paying heed to the demands of the public. The shortage of officers was adversely impacting the working culture in the department. |
