Journalists being punished for not praising Govt: Omar | ‘Power scenario dismal, what happened to your promises’ | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 27: Former J&K chief minister and National Conference President Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said that journalists are being punished for not praising the government. Talking to reporters, Omar said, “The government should first do something to earn praise then expect the scribes to write it. It’s unfortunate that journalists are being punished for not toeing the government line.” Omar expressed dismay over the power crisis that has gripped Jammu and Kashmir. “In Kashmir power is snapped just before sehri and iftaar times. In Jammu condition is no better. I want to remind the rulers about the promises they had made to the people. What happened to those promises?” he said. |
