| Five bovines rescued, vehicle seized by district police Samba | | |

SAMBA, Apr 29: District Police Samba successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines by rescuing 05 bovines, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal.
Acting on an information received from reliable sources regarding illegal transportation of bovines, a Police party of PS Ghagwal near Naka point Tapyal NHW, signalled to stop one Tata Mobile load carrier bearing Registration No. JK02CV/5077 for checking. Instead of stopping the vehicle, the driver accelerated the speed but got successfully chased by alerted cops within a few metres away from Naka Point.
After checking, 05 bovines were found laden inside the said vehicle which were tied in an inhumane manner. All the bovines were shifted to safer place and the vehicle used for transportation was also seized.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 65/2022 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered in Police Station Ghagwal. |
