Adhoc employees without salaries ahead of Eid, courtesy Babu Raaj | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Apr 29: Despite Eid being round the corner, the government has not released the salaries of the employees in Jammu and Kashmir. The Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has urged the government to release the salary of all employees including adhoc, daily wage and other temporary workers of Jammu and Kashmir. According to EJAC a large number of adhoc, daily wagers and temporary/need base employees are without salaries for months together and to keep their salaries pending on the occasion of Eid is injustice with them. It’s in place to mention here that during the past few months employees of many departments have staged protests across Jammu and Kashmir to seek the release of their pending salaries. The contractual teachers, Anganwadi workers, Female health workers and many others have been demanding that their pending salaries should be released, but the officials haven’t paid any heed towards their pleas. These adhoc employees are hoping that the bureaucrats sitting on the top don’t disappoint them on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. They EJAC said the pending salaries of the temporary employees is a meagre amount and it should be cleared so that these employees can celebrate Eid without any stress. |
