Reasi Police arrests two bovine smugglers, rescues eight bovines | | | Early Times Report REASI, Apr 29: In its drive against bovine smuggling in Reasi teams of District Police Reasi laid special nakas and arrested two bovine smugglers while rescuing eight bovines being illegally transported by them. Two vehicles used for transporting the animals were also seized. A team of Police Station Arnas laid a surprise naka at Arnas and during checking intercepted a Tata mobile bearing registration number JK20B 3978 and rescued two bovines from the possession of bovine smuggler namely Firdous Ahmed R/. Thuroo, Reasi. In this regards a case FIR No. 58/2022 U/S 188, 11PC act, has been registered at Police Station Arnas and investigation initiated. Vehicle Tata mobile got seized and the accused was arrested. A team of Police Post Thanole during surprise naka checking foiled bovines smuggling attempt in Thanole area while intercepting a one bovine smuggler namely Mohammad Riaz R/O Tulli, Chassana-Reasi and rescued two bovines from his possession. In this regards a case FIR No. 61/2022 U/S 188 IPC and 11 (1) (a) PCA Act stands registered at Police Station Arnas against the accused and investigation initiated. In another incident Police Post of Dera Baba during checking intercepted a one mini tipper bearing registration number JK02AP 9106 and rescued four bovines. However taking the advantage of darkness smugglers fled away from the spot. Police party of Police Post Dera Baba on the job to trace them. In this regards case FIR no 100 U/S 188, 11(a) PCA Act stands registered at police station Reasi and investigations initiated. |
