J&K Police solves burglary case, stolen money recovered | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Apr 29: Police in Kupwara claims to have solved a burglary case by arresting an accused person and recovered stolen cash from his possession. Police said that it received a complaint from Intekhab Aalam Bhat of Gani Mohalla Baramulla stating therein that during the intervening night of April 27 and 28 some unknown burglars had barged his shop situated at Kupwara in frontier Kashmir and stolen away cash from the shop. They said a case was registered and investigation started during which a suspect identified as Mohammad Shahid Salmani a resident of Bijnor Uttar Pradesh who is running a barber shop at Hajaj Market Kupwara was questioned. On his disclosure, stolen cash Rs 1,53,880 was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to a police station where remain in custody. Further investigation of the case is going on to find out his possible involvement in other criminal cases. |
