UDHAMPUR, Apr 1: Udhampur Police has ramped up its efforts in the fight against narcotics, registering 27 cases under the NDPS Act between January and March 2025. These actions led to the arrest of 33 individuals under the NDPS Act and 3 others under PIT NDPS/PSA laws.
The police also seized 11 vehicles used for narcotics transportation. A significant recovery included 171.82 grams of heroin, 96 grams of charas, 40 kg of poppy straw, and 96 grams of ganja, collectively valued at Rs 52.32 lakh in the black market. In addition, properties linked to narcotics and bovine smuggling worth Rs 1.49 crore were attached, including a flat, three trucks, two cars, and a Tata Mobile.
