Raksha Bandhan celebrated by educational institutes

Jammu, Aug 17: Honouring the true spirit of brotherhood, the girl students of various schools in Jammu celebrated 'Rakhabhandan' with Jawans.
The students of DPS Jammu, under its integrated Child Development Programme (ICDP), celebrated the festival of 'Rakhabhandan' with the BSF Jawans at Akhnoor. A team of 30 students and 5 staff members left for Akhnoor to tie handmade rakhis on the wrists of BSF Jawans of the 89 Battalion and to present them with handmade cards, specially prepared by them, during the heritage week celebrated in the school, a week ago. The school's ICDP program is designed for overall holistic development of the children and focuses on enhancement of their innate skills and social responsibilities.
JK Montessorie British School Jammu and its affiliated unit JK Little Millennium celebrated " Raksha Bandhan", the festival of brother -sister love with great fervor and enthusiasm in the school premises here today. According to press release, students of classes Ist, 2nd and 3rd organized a special event to educate children about the significance of the festival "Raksha Baandhan" by presented a stage show "Phoolo Ka Taro Ka sab ka Kehna hai, ek hazaro Me Meri Behna hai". The programme also witnessed "Rakhi making and Kite making competition aimed at to promote creativity among the students.
KIDZEE, a pre- school of "Zee Learn Ltd." celebrated Raksha Bandhan at its branches Anand Nagar Bohri, Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat and Talab Tillo with great enthusiasm and joy. A special assembly was conducted in which the toddlers were given demonstration regarding this special celebration. A song and a dance item added grace to the occasion. The kids were in colourful dresses/costumes and they enjoyed the celebration. Girls tied Rakhis - A holy thread on the wrist of the boys and boys in return gave gifts to them as a mark of love and care. Beside this, Kite and Rakhi making competition was also held.
SM Shishu Niketan Higher Secondary School Anand Nagar Patta Bohri Jammu celebrated Raksha Bandhan with great enthusiasm and joy in presence of Managing Director Parneesh Mahajan, Liaison Officer Harvinder Singh Sihotra, Principal Manikarnika Bhasin, Co-ordinator Sonika Jain and Staff. The function started with the special assembly in which students were given demo regarding this festival, the girls tied Rakhis on the wrist of the boys and exchanged gifts and chocolates with each other. There was Rakhi and Kite making competition in which the students took active participation cultural programme, poems, quotations & speech added grace to the function.
May Fair Group of Schools, Chand Nagar, Janipur, Chinore today organized Rakhi Making Competition here at school premises. Director of School, Abhey Basur gave away the prizes for getting Ist, 2nd and 3rd positions in respective of their houses and also through a light on Rakhi festival. Later sweets were distributed among the participants.
Steeping Stone School (A Fun Skool) Bari Brahmana celebrated Rakha Bandhan festival in the school premises here today. On rakha bandhan kids prepared colourfull and sparkillimg 'Rakhis' with the help of teacher under the supervision of Geetika Sharma wing incharge. On the special occasion kids of Nursery, LKG & U.K.G presented group song, rhyms & dance dedicated to pure relationship of brother & sister with full enthusion. Later an exhibition of the colourfull & attractive 'Rakhis' by the students in the school premises which was witness & appreciated by the director of the school Vikash Kumar Sharma.
Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu celebrated Raksha Bandhan here at school premises. Students of Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu visited SOS Bal Gram and tied the Rakhi's made by them to the children staying there. They shared the sweets and thoughts with them.
Children and management of SOS Balgram appreciated the effort put in by school authority.
Principal cum Vice Chairperson of School Rohini Aima congratulated the staff and students on the auspicious occasion with the message of bonding for peace and harmony.
Rich Harvest School, Bari Brahmana celebrated Raksha Bandhan festival with great fervour and enthusiasm. Students were present in colorful dresses and were excited since morning. Kindergarten Girls tied Rakhi at the wrist of boys who in turn offered gifts for new eternal bond of holy love between brother and sister. "Kids love to experiment with Rakhis," said Ruchi Charak, Trustee of the school who believes that celebration of festivals in schools is necessary. "Due to nuclear families, children today are deprived of true spirit of such festivals. Such celebrations in schools teach students about our traditions," she added.
Making a kite is an art and flying it is a fine art . R.M.Public School today organized kite and rakhi making competition. The student participated in this competition with great zest and zeal. The rakhi is made out with waste material were delight to watch ,. Kite maker inherited and learnt from their experience the boys who won the kite competition Ridhiman Jasrotia , Aditya Sangra , Abishek, Gursirat, sarthak, Tejas Dutta, Harsh Preet Singh, Deepak, Arjun Veer Singh, Jaganjot Singh,Pyush Andotra, Shubam Choudhary, Naman, Manav,Ritvik. Trustee of R.M.Public school Rita Mengi and Principal Mrs. Ravinder Kour Appreciated the students for their creativity.
