CCI calls for Intra dialogue between Jammu and Kashmir traders
Announces Jammu bandh on Aug 20 , if dialogue fails

Jammu, Aug 17: Chamber of Commerce and Industries president Rakesh Gupta has conveyed to the people in Kashmir though media that if byFriday , August 19 , 1 pm the Jammu Chamber does not get a positive message from representatives of Kashmir Civil Society for intra region dialogue followed by a joint delegation of representatives from three regions of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh to call on CM Mehbooba Mufti with a charter of demands if any for consideration and necessary action as the Chamber reposes full faith in our democratically elected CM, the Jammu Chamber shall be left with no option but to call for a Jammu Bandh on Saturday Aug 20 in support of peace, communal harmony and against the agenda of the anti national elements in the state of JK.
He condoled the deaths of the civilians and the security personals blaming anti nationals for the loss of human lives. He also explained to the heads of various associations from trade , Industry , tourism and transport that the current situation in Kashmir has pushed our state backward by decades.
He also said that many prominent people from the civil society in Kashmir have approached us to intervene and break the deadlock and help the situation in Kashmir back to normalcy as they can't speak or do anything but to sit as prisoners in their homes for more than one month now because of the fear and threat of guns of the anti nationals.
After consulting all business, industry and transport representatives, it was unanimously decided to give a deadline to the people of Kashmir for intra region discussions with the people of Jammu and Ladakh as they do not support the way of protests chosen by them which was leading the people towards the path of self destruction and not self determination.
The president Chamber further warned those who were trying to radicalize the youths and appealed for total communal harmony throughout the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
He further warned those political parties who are trying to add fuel to the fire rather than acting responsibly to contain the situation. The President felt proud in saying that all those Kashmiri families have temporarily shifted to Jammu in wake of the worse situation in Kashmir because they feel that Jammu is the safest for people from all religious to live.
The prominent present in the meeting include Sham Lal Langer, Sr. Vice President, Deepak Aggarwal, Jr. Vice President , Arun Gupta, Secretary General, Ashu Gupta, Treasurer. The Presidents and Secretaries of all Bazars, Trades, Industrial, Tourism and Transport Associations were also present in the meeting.
