Distt Admin takes stringent steps to maintain law & order, Slaps PSA against one

Kishtwar, Aug 17: In a bid to tighten its noose against the elements indulged in creating wedge within society in Jammu region after things got flared up in valley for over a month, the police and district administration have taken strict preventive measures including slapping PSA (Public Service Act) on one person detrimental to peace and tranquility in the region.
As per the details available with "Early Times", an undergraduate student identified by the police sources as Rehmat-tul-lah Bhat son of Abdul Gani of Bhatta Dessa was booked under PSA by the Deputy Commissioner Doda who was also having the power of District Magistrate after Doda police prepared a dossier of the youth and termed him as detrimental to peace and tranquility in the area.
"Rehmat-tul-lah was a part of the protests that took place in Doda including in the protest that took place couple of days ago for which a case under FIR No. 173/2016 u/s 120B, 124 A,154 A RPC stands registered at Police Station Doda against main accused Rehmat-tul-lah along with several youths were named by the police, sources said.
They said, "After a crackdown against the stone pelters and the protesters in Kashmir valley, the state government has shifted its focus on the forces hell bent to create wedge within society and disturb peace and tranquility Jammu Division and booked 20 year youth from Doda District under Public Safety Act (PSA)."
Pertinently some elements were seen involved in anti India sloganeering during the protest held in various parts of Chenab region aftermath the killing of Hizb commander Burhan Wani in an encounter with the security forces in Kokarnag Kashmir last month on July 8.
The locals informed the "Early Times " that the booked youth was arrested by the police soon after Friday (12/8/2016) prayers that triggered police public clashes in which SSP Doda Zahid Naseem Manhas, Dy SP HQ Doda Abdul Qayoom Rounyal, SHO Doda Udhay Shankar Wazir, beside over a dozen people including police personals and civilians were injured while police claims he was instigating youth to protest and to raise anti national slogans. However people allege that police roughed up the aforesaid youth. Meantime he was booked by Deputy Commissioner Doda Bupinder Singh under PSA and after his arrest police shifted Rehmat-tul-lah to Kotbalwal jail Jammu.
The locals claimed that two students namely Shahid Ahmed s/o Ghulam Hussain Batt of Beoli and Tawheed Ahmed s/o Abdul Latief Resident of Akramabad Doda are still under police custody and urged SSP Doda to release the detained youths
Meanwhile police sources maintained that all these youths are said to be involved in raising pro-freedom, pro-Kashmir and anti-India, anti-BJP, anti-PDP slogans during the procession in Doda town after Friday prayers.
They further informed the "Early Times" that Doda police had prepared more dossiers against the trouble shooters and had launched a manhunt to arrest them as many among these trouble shooters according to police sources had went underground after carrying out anti national activities.
Sources within the government also informed that District administration Kishtwar too has been asked to initiate strict action against the trouble shooters who were involved in anti national activities and are making an attempt to destabilize peace and tranquility in the area.
A senior police officer on anonymity confirming the development to "Early Times" said that strict action as warranted under will be initiated against the miscreants involved in anti India activities. He said that list of the trouble shooters is lying with police added that the action against such elements will begin very soon.
