Railway staffer held with 150 gms of 'charas'

Jammu, Aug 17: GRP Katra today arrested one Laundryman of Shri Shakti Express alongwith approximately 150 grams of Charas during a special checking in Katra.
"On specific inputs SHO GRP Katra Narinder Singh under the supervision of Kamlesh Shoor SDPO Railways Katra intercepted a person namely Uday Raj Singh son of Late Gajinder Parsad resident of Village Bohan, Thesil and District Fatehpur Uttar Pradesh at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Railway Station Katra on suspicion basis," Police spokesman said that.
"During frisking of the accused police recovered 145 grams of Charas from his possession, packed in 28 small packets meant for sale, police said, further adding, "the accused during initial interrogation disclosed that he is working in Shri Shakti Express as laundryman and arrived at Katra by same train."
Police said, "The arrest was made with timely and special inputs by inspector Rakesh Kumar, In-charge GRP Special Branch Katra."
A case under FIR No 06/2016 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station GRP Katra and investigations are on.
