Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 20: High court judge Tashi Rabstan today said if the grade of the petitioner -- an executive engineer (XEn) -- was not released within four weeks, secretaries of rural development department (RDD) and PSC would have to appear in person on the next date of hearing.
The court directive came in a petition filed by Rajesh Gupta, incharge SE, RDD, Jammu, seeking implementation of the March 2015 court direction in which respondents were directed to consider the case of applicant as regards the release of his grade as XEn from 1996 and grade of SE from 2008 within six weeks.
Justice Tashi, while taking a serious view observed that despite opportunities, needful had not been done. "In the interest of justice, four weeks's time is granted to do the needful, failing which secretaries of RDD and PSC are directed to appear in person on the next date of hearing," he said.
