SANDEEP BHAT Jammu, Jan 27: The mismanagement on the part of Civil Administration came to surface when invitees failed to get seats in the Moulana Azad Stadium here on the Republic Day function. As soon as the civilian entered in the stadium, they were shocked to see the seats meant for them were occupied by the defense personnel, officers and their families. "To my surprise when I approached to take my seat in Northern pavilion 1, few army personnel stopped me. I was told that the seats were reserved for army personnel. Moreover the half southern pavilion was occupied by the army personnel," said a senior citizen. He said such chaos was seen in the stadium for the first time. "It have been witnessing RD parade for the past twenty years but this inconvenience has been caused for the first time," he said. Another annoyed civilian said, "Earlier first three or four rows were always reserved for Army officers, but this time, whole pavilion was kept reserved for Army Jawans and their families hardly bothering about the civilians" An aged woman was looking for a seat but nobody seemed interested in offering her a seat. She left the venue. The dejected people blamed the Divisional Commissioner for mismanagement. However, all efforts to contact him went in vain. |
