Chopra Murder case: Court gives prosecution last opportunity to file blood grouping report | | | JAMMU, Jan 15: In a much publicized murder case of RB Chopra and his family, Principal Sessions Judge Jammu R S Jain today took serious note and granted last and final opportunity to police to file blood grouping report of the accused. Today when the matter was taken-up, Court observed that vide order dated November 26, 2014 a direction was given for taking blood samples of the accused and information be given about the same to this Court and thereafter DNA Profiling be done as per the order for this purpose period of four weeks was given which have lapsed since them. During the today's proceedings, Court further observed that on last date of hearing it was submitted by the prosecution that the accused are refusing to given blood samples and on the said date also counsel for the accused had submitted that the accused have no objection if the blood samples and grouping is done as per Court direction. Principal Sessions Judge Jammu further observed that even today counsel for the accused persons submitted that their clients have no objection if the blood samples are taken and grouping is done. It was further argued by the prosecution that the accused have refused to give blood samples and but probably section 53-A CrPC is not within their knowledge. Principal Sessions Judge Jammu further observed that in these circumstances prosecution agency is given last and final opportunity to file blood grouping report. (JNF) |
