VRS Union criticizes attitude of State Transport, Finance dept | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 18: All Jammu and Kashmir SRTC Volunteer Retired Employees Association staged protest demonstration and criticized the adamant attitude of the State Transporter Higher Authority and Finance Department on Wednesday. Addressing the gathering, President Dev Raj Bali said as departments are' not releasing our pending dues and we have been struggling for the same for the last more than 5 years and these departments are bent upon to harass us and it clearly indicates that these two departments are in connivance with each other as the bills for pending dues and arrears are ready in all respects and are lying in their offices for release but they are not releasing pending dues. "We are unable to understand why we have been grinded up and whereas in the long struggle of 5 years for legitimate dues 9 VRS employees of the State SRTC hav died because they didn't afford expenses for their medical treatment," he stated and asked who is responsible for this irreparable loss to the families of the deceased. He alleged that these two departments didn't care at all and employees were unable to understand what is motive behind, this harassment. They appealed NN Vohra the Governor of J&K State to please save from the cruel clutches of these officials by releasing dues which comes to the tune of RS.30,16,10,673.00 and the bills complete in all respects are lying in the office of Finance Department. |
