UDO demands CBI probe on misappropriation of Rs 200cr 2/18/2015 11:06:21 PM Early Times Report Kalakote, Feb 18: Universal Development Organisation (UDO) today demands CBI probe on misappropriation of Rs. 200 crores which was drawn by some government department in the last five years on the name of execution of developmental works and without their execution on ground. According to press release, UDO president LR Sehgal demanded an independent probe through the CBI into the scam particularly by the PWD, PMGSY departments. He urged upon the government of India and Governor NN Vohra to order an independent probe of misappropriation drawl of crores of rupees so, that the guilty officers responsible for causing loss to the public exchequer be prosecuted and punished under law. He further said that people of Kalakote resides in rural areas unaware about the funds provided to the legislators utilization of rupees in crores on their own choice and on pick and choose basis without consulting and keeping in confidence the general public of said areas.
