KPs have high expectations from coalition govt : JMWC | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 2 : Jagti Migrants Welfare Committee (JMWC) today said that Kashmiri Pandits have high expectations from coalition government of BJP and PDP. According to press release, a meeting was today held in which Pintoo Ji, President (Jagti Migrants Welfare Committee) expressed that it is a fact that KPs are not a big vote bank, but are decisive in many Assembly constituencies . "It is very unfortunate on the part of the political parties of J &K that no representation for MLC in Assembly has been given to Kashmiri Pandits, being the minority to represent the community voice", they said. They further observed that all the successive governments have shown step-motherly treatment towards the community in addressing the genuine issues of the community. Though PDP-BJP coalition has not reflected any issue of KPs in their Common Minimum Programme (CMP), And still we have great expectations and high hopes from the new coalition Govt,.He further said that we are hopeful that new Govt., would definitely understand our status and position and be co-operative and sympathetic in all respects. |
