Militant held at Sawjian with Pak wife, 4 children | | | M S Nazki Early Times Report POONCH, Mar 2 : A Sawjian youth, who had exfiltrated to Pakistan in 1991 and received training in the handling of arms and ammunition, was arrested by police today after he reached his village along with his Pakistani wife and four children. To infiltrate into the Indian territory, he adopted the Nepal route and reached Sawjian where he was arrested by a Loran police station team led by SHO Rouf Lone at about 2.30 pm, according to police sources. He travelled such a long distance from Nepal to Sawjian and crossed several police checking points but nowhere the agencies developed suspicion about him. His Pakistani wife and four children, who were born in Pakistan, were also accompanying him at the time of his arrest, sources said. Sources identified his Pak wife as Nosheen Bhatt (27), three daughters as Muqadas Rafiq (9), Arooz Rafiq (7) and Zashmal Rafiq (5) and son as Mohammad Zubair (12). Sources said he had clandestinely crossed the Line of Control (LoC) somewhere from Sawjian in 1991 and entered Pakistan to receive training in the handling of arms and ammunition. His questioning was in progress and some vital clues were expected at his instance, the sources added. |
