| DES modifies orders to extend olive branch to favorites | | Additional charges of lucrative posts to few SAs | |  Arun Singh

Jammu, Mar 2: In a glaring example of favoritism, Directorate of Economics and Statistics (DES) Jammu and Kashmir modified an order before it getting released in public domain regarding the adjustment of outgoing trainees of Statistical Assistants to extend undue benefits to some of the blue eyed staff members by giving them additional charges of lucrative posts in some departments.
The documents in possession of Early Times revealed that Directorate of Economics and Statistics had issued an order in February 2015 regarding an adjustment of Statistical Assistants who completed their training at Statistical Training Institute Jammu which was not released and directorate clandestinely modified it after few days in which some SAs were given additional charges which were already under their possession.
Astoundingly, giving a damn to the secrecy of the office, the first order which was not released, later got leaked out by someone within the department after a modified order come to the fore which ostensibly showed that in order to extend undue benefits to some of the blue eyed by give them additional charges of the posts which are considered to be 'profitable'.
In the leaked out order, which was later modified, the adjustment of Statistical Assistants of 51st batch/ 41st batch, two SAs who have identical names Ranjit Kumar falling in the serial number of 6 and 8 were posted at office of RTO Kathua as SA and other was posted at office of RTO Jammu as SA respectively.
But in the later official order, Order No. 114 DES of 2015 dated 25/02/2015 the above two Statistical Assistants were given additional charges of their previous department along with new postings in which Ranjit Kumar falling in the series of 6 was posted at office of Town Area Committee Kathua under Scheme "Vital Statistic" vice Ajit Kumar Statistical Assistant deputed for training was also given additional charges additional charges of Statistical Assistant of the office of RTO Kathua till further order while the other Ranjeet Kumar falling in the serial number of 8 was posted at Office of Chief Engineer PWD (R&B) Jammu against an available post of SA and apart from it, he was also given additional charge of Statistical Assistant of the office of RTO Jammu.
Besides, two more Statistical Assistants were also given with additional charges including Sham Lal Khajuria, Statistical Assistant of the office of GM, DIC, Kathua was given additional charge of SA in the office of Toll Post Lakhanpur. Adhir Kumar SA of the office of Chief Medical Officer, Samba was given additional charge of SA in Chief Agriculture Officer Samba. |
