MJR hails govt formation | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 2 : Movement for Justice for POJK 1947 (MJR-1947) refugees welcomed the formation of government in J&K but resented that no minorities has been given representation in the cabinet Sikh in particular who are in microscopic minority in the state. "It is for the second time that this community has been ignored and now feel politically alienated. Both BJP & PDP were all out to assure Sikhs to give them proper justice but now have let down the community. Even previous government headed by Jenab Omar Abdullah was perhaps, the first political dispensation which ignored Sikh as a result of which the party had to face the wrath of people. Both BJP & PDP, who had made promises to make representative Govt. by giving representation to all too have failed to do justice to Sikh & even other minorities", they observed. "We strongly appeal that all these issue of political representation to minorities both in legislature & ministry be considered forthwith. Even POJK 1947, 65 & 1971 who over whemily voted for these parties & were promised proper justice are feeling neglected, ignored & discriminated", they said. |
