| Student of Zia Ul Uloom bags 2nd position | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 2: Jamia Zia Ul Uloom Department of High school registered yet again a marathon success when a 5th class student bagged 2nd position in a debate competition organized by District Police Poonch at Govt degree college Poonch here today.
In a debate competition titled "Role of youth in eradicating drugs menace from society", many students from different schools, academies and colleges took part and express their views.
A class 5th student namely Hassaan Mir while speaking thoroughly on the topic said, drugs addiction is the biggest challenge and threat for the youth and youth needs to be vigilant from this fatal menace.
He also presented some statistics too in which he tries to present a clear picture in front of the audience about his deadly nature.
On this occasion, SSP Poonch, JS Johar was present as chief guest beside Prof Jatinder Singh principal of the Govt degree college as guest of honour.
On securing second position, Hassaan Mir was presented with a cash award of Rs 2000 and a certificate as well. On this occasion, Chief patron of Jamia hazrat Maulana Ghulam Qadir and chairman Zia educational and welfare society Sayeed A habib also extended his best wishes for this emerging young lad. They also congratulated his parents and also wished him all the best for his future endeavours. |
