DB direct State to file ATR regarding 'Basmati rice' growing Land 3/3/2015 12:51:57 AM Jammu, Mar 2 (JNF): In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Ranjeet Singh Chib in which petitioner shown his concern for illegal conversion of world famous Basmati Paddy/Rice Land Growing into concrete jungle with free hand in Sub Division RS Pura, a Division Bench directed state to file Action Taken Report (ATR) against the persons who have converted the land use to non-agriculture purposes. When this PIL came-up for hearing today, Advocate Srishti Paul Mengi appearing for the PIL alleged that in breach of the prohibitory orders, violations are still taking place and Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur directed AAG HA Siddiqui appearing for the state to produce Action Taken Report (ATR) against the person who have converted the land use to non-agriculture purposes.
