SDM Kotranka conducts surprise visits to check 'absenteeism' | | | Rajouri, Mar 4: Taking cognizance to several complaints from the people that majority of the employees remain absent from their duties during working hours, the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Kotranka paid surprise visits to some government offices and found many employees including a Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO) absent from their duties unauthorized manner. Official sources said that besides complaints a series of protests too have been organsied in recent past by the inhabitants of Kotranka against the alleged authoritarian attitude of the Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO) and black-marketing of government ration. Sukhdev Singh, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Kotranka said that during surprise visit to TSO office the office of concerned was found locked even at about 12.30 pm. "No employee was present in the office and Assistant Director, CA&PD department has been directed to charge sheet/ seek explanation from the non-gazette employees and seek explanation from Riaz Choudhry, TSO who is reportedly a habitual in remaining on unauthorized absence," said SDM Kotranka. He said other employees working in TSO office have been identified as Karamat Hussain, storekeeper and Aijaj Ahmed. He added during visit to a Community Health Centre (CHC) at Samote two female Health Workers including in-Charge, Female Multi Purpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) namely Yaseen Kousar were found absent in unauthorizedly from their duties. SDM Kotranka said that Block Medical Officer (BMO) Kotranka has been directed to charge sheet Yaseen and Neeta Devi and seek explanations from them. SDM later also visited the landslide spot on Rajouri-Budhal road where road was blocked on Tuesday due to sudden landslides after incessant rains. SDM issued 'show cause' notice to the GREF authorities reportedly for failing to construct protection wall. |
