Omar lectures new mantris, forgets he is no CM | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 4: A day after the new ministers were given portfolios the former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today took the twitter to sermonize them, forgetting that he is no more the Chief Minister of the state. Taking a dig at the BJP-PDP coalition Omar wrote on the micro blogging site twitter: "Dear @BJP4India & @jkpdp please stop squabbling & start governing. We waited 2 months for this Govt. Perhaps you can start with portfolios." Omar, according to political experts, seems to have forgotten how his ministers used to fight and indulge in mudslinging at each other. "His ministers, including Ali Muhammad Sagar, openly expressed happiness over Omar showing door to his close aide Devender Singh Rana and leveled serious allegations against him (Rana)," they added. Someone needs to remind Omar that Rana almost split the NC into two and senior leaders, including Sagar and Abdul Rahim Rather had no say in the matters concerning the government. The senior leaders felt that they were sidelined and have been turned into non-entities. And who is unaware of Dr Mustafa Kamal's verbal missiles which he fired on the coalition partner (Congress) from time to time. Congress Minister, G M Saroori was relieved of his portfolio after his daughter's MBBS impersonation case came to fore. Omar retained the portfolio with him but never took any action against Saroori. Similarly Omar forgot his promise of good governance when he was forced to shelve action against his education minister , Peerzada Muhammad Sayed for helping his foster son in the matriculation examination. Omar snubbed NC leaders ahead of reshuffling his ministers on January 13, 2013. He didn't call a meeting to convey his decision but took to twitter to pass on the instructions. "Dear aspiring ministers please don't come and ask me to make you ministers. Trust the Almighty and your destiny, leave the rest to me," the tweet said with a smiley at the end. It seems he (Omar) has not yet come to terms with reality and is still in shock of losing power. Someone needs to tell him he is no more the Chief Minister and no one would take his sermons seriously. |
