70 pc restoration work of partially damaged bridges completes in south Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Mar 5: Nearly 70 per cent restoration work of43 partially damaged bridges due to September floods has-been completed at a cost of Rs 68.49 while connectivity to affected 322 km road length has been restored at a cost of Rs 300.45 lakhs in south Kashmir district of Anantnag. Informing here today, an official spokesperson added that11 fully damaged bridges due to floods in September havebeen restored by way of constructions of diversions in Anantnag. Besides, out of 290 damaged water supply schemes and 762number of damaged water supply works, Rs 430 lakh released under SDRF have been spent on temporary restoration of 290damaged schemes and damaged water works under the PHE sectorin the district so far. Similarly, under irrigation sector 415 different irrigation works were damaged out of which 366 works were temporarily restored at an expenditure of Rs 39.64 lakh out of the total released amount of Rs 144.00 lakh under SDRF during 2014-15. An amount of Rs 675.09 lakh is required for completion of all damaged irrigation works in the district, he added. |
