Society of Dental Surgeons J&K framed 3/5/2015 9:35:53 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 5 : Dental Surgeons across state, Society of Dental Surgeons , J&K (SODSJK) has been framed to highlight various issues of dental surgeons. In a statement issued here, President Dr Imtyaz Banday infromed that the society was an umbrella organisation which represents various stakeholders involved in Dental Profession across state. It has been for the first time in the history of J&K that all the dental surgeons from various sections have united to uplift the face of dental fraternity and to provide quality oral health care. "The association involves representation of in service (Consultant, Regular, Contractual, NRHM), PG Scholars, Self Employed and unemployed dental graduates. In this context a series of meetings have taken place wherein it has been decided that the association will work hard under a strict constitution whose only aim will be to uplift the dental fraternity in the state and address various issues pertaining to Dental Surgeons and Oral Health Care. The members have laid stress on various issues and valuable thrust has been given for the following issues including dissolution of existing State Dental Council followed by elections as per the guidelines, to frame a strategy for highlighting the importance of Oral Health Care and thereby evolving a mechanism to create job opportunities in state via Regular and NRHM establishment .Simultaneously to stress Govt. to tabulate and fill all vacant Dental Surgeon posts in one go, Caderization, Promotional Avenues to In service Dental Surgeons and Pay Anomaly (Pay Band 3), Pay disparity with NRHM Dental Surgeons and others issues.
