Probe ordered into illegal appointments, alleged nexus between agents, transport officials | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 11: After Early Times carried a series of news items, highlighting the alleged nexus between agents and some transport officials having taken roots in the department, the government has ordered a probe and asked Special Secretary, Transport Department, to submit report within 15 days. As per the details available with Early Times, in reference to letter No GS-32(PC) 2915/1885 dated 20-03-2015 of Additional Secretary in Governor's Secretariat, Secretary to Government Transport Department Baseer Ahmad Khan vide government order No. 26 TR of 2015 Dated 10-04-2015 appointed Itrat Hussain Rafique, Special Secretary to Government Transport Department, as an inquiry officer to expose the nexus between agents and some transport officials in the regional transport office and Assistant Regional Transport office of Motor Vehicle Department. The inquiry officer has been been directed to conduct an inquiry into the alleged illegal appointments made in the Motor Vehicles Department from time to time and furnish the report of the same within 15 days.
