Critics of BJP appreciating Agenda of Alliance: Why? | Against national interest | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 11: The bitter critics of the BJP are highly appreciative of the "Agenda of Alliance", which was formulated by BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav and its coalition partner in Jammu and Kashmir? The question is: Why are they supporting the Agenda of Alliance? Why are they terming it "unique"? They are supporting the Agenda of Alliance for five specific reasons. One, the Agenda of Alliance has agreed upon by the BJP and its coalition partner as their road map for governance is a "well-thought out document with long-term visions and detailed guidelines for implementation". It is unique, according to them, as it includes the combined efforts of ideologically opposed parties, including "the BJP and the Hurriyat to build peace". What a paradox! Two, the Agenda of Alliance makes a number of "revolutionary suggestions". (revolutionary changes because it seeks to unsettle the settled in Jammu and Kashmir.) For example, its opening paragraph says the alliance is an "effort towards seeking a national reconciliation on J&K". (National reconciliation means accommodation of the atrocious views of Pakistan and Kashmiri separatists on Jammu and Kashmir, which otherwise is a settled issue and an integral part of India. It also means the negation of the supreme sacrifice the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Shyama Prasad Mukherjee made for integrating the state with India.) Three, the Agenda of Alliance says that the coalition government will examine the need for de-notifying 'disturbed areas' so that the Armed Forces Special Powers Act could be revoked partially or otherwise. (Under this Act, the Army and Paramilitary forces which have been conducting anti-insurgency operations in the state since more than two decades now enjoy legal immunity.) This as a consequence, would enable the Union Government to take a final view on the continuation of AFSPA in these areas. (It is a complete sell out on the part of the BJP.) Four, the Agenda of Alliance says that the Valley's separatists are also the stakeholders in Jammu and Kashmir. The document says that "the coalition government will facilitate and help initiate a sustained and meaningful dialogue with all internal stakeholders, which will include all political groups irrespective of their ideological views and predilections". Hitherto, the BJP never considered Hurriyat leaders or Pakistan as stakeholders. The BJP used to say that there is only one stakeholder in Jammu and Kashmir and it was the Indian nation. That the BJO of today considers the Hurriyat leadership as a stakeholder in the state speaks for itself. It needs no further elucidation.) Five, the Agenda of Alliance also states that all lands other than those given to the security forces on the basis of lease, licenses and acquisition under the provision of the Land Acquisition Act shall be returned to the rightful legal owners. Kashmiri parties, separatist groups and civil society groups in the Valley, who are part of the anti-India movement, had been saying almost the same thing which the BJP agreed to include in the Agenda of Alliance. It is nothing but a complete U-turn. The discredit for this obviously goes to the perverted Ram Madhav and the discredited BJP high command, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah. All this shows that the critics of the BJP are supporting the Agenda of Alliance because it suits the Kashmiri parties, Hurriyat leadership, Pakistan and those whose single-point agenda all along was to dismember India by ensuring segregation of Jammu and Kashmir from India. It is a matter of regret that the BJP discarded everything it seemingly used to hold very dear for some loaves and fishes of office. |
