JTC, SKF hold protest rally at Jagti

JAMMU, Apr 11: Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front as well as the inmates of Jagti Migrants, today held a protest rally at Jagti Nagrota.
The committee condemned the action of Hurriyat Conference and JKLF, Yasin Malik, Molvi Umar Farooq, Syed Ali Shah Geelani and other political leaders who have opposed rehabilitation of the Kashmiri Pandit Migrants by raising Townships in Kashmir Valley.
During the protest, the leaders have condemned the statements of some anti-Hindu organizations opposing rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Community in townships in Kashmir Valley. While addressing the protestors, S L Pandita(President JTC) cautioned the Government for immediate raising up a satellite township in Kashmir Valley for Rehabilitation of Kashmir Pandit Migrants Community in Kashmir Valley with dignity and honour. He also appealed the Government to enhance cash assistance in favour of the Migrants as they have been facing hardships in meeting their day to day domestic needs.
The protestors raised slogans against such anti-Hindu organizations who have opposed rehabilitation of Kashmiri Migrants Community in townships. He further appealed the Government to vacate all unlawful occupants of the migrants properties in Kashmir Valley for restoration of the same to its original owners.
A Demand was made by the committee members for granting minority status to Kashmiri Pandit Community with proper political reservation in J&K Legislature as well as in Parliament of India.
Pandita also said that the Community members have suffered huge loss of their properties during past 25 years of exile as such an appeal has been made to the Government for granting one time lump/sum compensation of Rs.50.00 lacs to each and every migrant family to meet the losses suffered by them. Pandita also demanded an on spot police recruitment drive to be conducted in Jagti Township affording the deserving candidates opportunity to serve police department and to earn their livelihood.
Prominent among others who participated in the protest rally were Rattan Lal Bhat, Rajinder Dhar, Sunil Raina, Ramesh Bhat, Vijay Pandita, S.L Kar, Hari Krishan, Mithen Pandita, M.L Pandita, M.L Akhoon, Sanjay Pandita, lnderjeet Labroo and others.
