Rana for focused promotion of rural sports 4/18/2015 9:56:43 PM Early Times Report NAGROTA, Apr 18: Seeking focused attention towards promotion of rural and traditional sports, Provincial President National Conference Devender Singh Rana said on Saturday that adequate coaching and necessary wherewithal is imperative for achieving this objective. "Youth have been showing keen interest in traditional games but due to lack of avenues their talent generally remains confined to local areas only", he said, adding that endeavours made during the past several years had however raised hope among the youngsters, which need to be sustained. Rana was speaking at the conclusion of the Vishal Dangal in Jhajjar Kotli Panchayat of the Nagrota Constituency. Organised by Ravi Kumar Baru, President Jajjar Kotli Dangal Committee, the competition attracted thousands of wrestling lovers from the adjoining areas and Jammu. Chairman Bishan Dass was also present on the occasion.
