Nod likely to new Chief Electoral Officer, Home Secy, Advocate General | Cabinet meeting today | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 18: In its last cabinet meeting in the winter capital before winding up of Durbar here, the PDP-BJP alliance will among other things take decision with regard to filling up two crucial high level posts in the bureaucracy which have been lying vacant and being run on additional charge arrangement for some time. Sources said while the government is going to take some vital decisions in the cabinet meeting scheduled tomorrow, transfers and rejig in the administrative level at top level is also on cards. The cabinet will among other things announce new IAS officer for the prestigious post of Chief Electoral officer in the state . This has been necessitated as the incumbent officer Umang Narula is proceeding on Central Deputation. Sources also said the cabinet will also give nod to the name of a new officer for the crucial post of Home Secretary in the state. This post is lying vacant as Suresh Kumar the officer in charge also went proceeded on central deputation after controversy arose over Masarat Alam's release from the jail soon after new government in the state took over. Sources further said the government may give nod to the name of new Advocate General in the state in tomorrow'smeeting, a step which was pending and expected to be announced anytime soon. |
