| BSNL directed to provide cellular connectivity on Mughal Road | | |

Mendhar, Apr 18: In view of the increasing vehicular traffic on Mughal Road, the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Pawan Kotwal has directed the officials of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to provide cellular connectivity on Mughal Road. The meeting was convened on the request of Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, M H Malik to discuss the issue of mobile connectivity from Chandimarh to Dubjan on Mughal Road.
The directions were given in the meeting chaired by the Divisional Commissioner and attended by the Deputy Commissioner Poonch and concerned officials of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
The Divisional Commissioner directed the BSNL authorities to immediately send a team to study the feasibility and identify the location for erection of mobile towers by 25th of April. The Deputy Commissioner Poonch assured to provide the logistic support to BSNL in identifying the location and installation of mobile towers.
The BSNL representatives were also asked to provide the list of equipments so that the matter is taken up with the Union Ministry of Tele Communication through the Chief Minister's Office. |
