LMD teams conduct extensive checking in Kathua 4/18/2015 10:47:33 PM Early Times Report KATHUA, Apr 18: A team of the legal Metrology Department Kathua headed by Assistant controller Legal Metrology Kathua Ajay Kumar Verma and Comprising of the Inspector Legal Metrology Conducted intensive checking of various Business establishment at Chappaki, Bella, Mirpur, Dayalachck, Hiranagar, Billawer, Kathua town and adjoining Areas. During inspection 7 traders were booked for violation of various provisions of J&K Weights and Measures Enforcement Act 1997.and Package Commodities Rules and a penalty of Rs 6400.00 was imposed. Department also booked one Gas Agency for violation of various provisions of J&K weights and Measures Enforcement Act 1997 and penalty amounting to Rs 5000.00 was imposed. The Department also booked M/S Sweeten Foods Pvt. Ltd for violation of PCR on the Package of Armella Cocoa Hazelnut & Vanila flavor Cream. The Department directed all the traders to use only verified Weights and Measures for Business transactions and display MRP, PKD, Net Contents and complete address and Customer care Number on the Commodities being sold in packaged Form.
