Will support Pak army for jihad in Kashmir: Hafiz | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Apr 18: Mumbai Attack Mastermind, Hafiz Syed openly exposed role of Pakistan Army in instigating violence in Kashmir after he said that his organization, Jamaat-u-Dawaa will back Pakistan army to wage "Jihad" in Jammu and Kashmir. Syed who is wanted in India for sponsoring infamous Mumbai attacks of 2008, during an interview with a TV channel said that Jamaat-u-Dawa, a banned militant outfit of which he is the founder will back Pakistan Army to help the people of Kashmir as such a move according to him is like "Jihad". He said that whatever stand Pakistan Army launches in connection with Kashmir issue is like taking part in Jihad and his organization will along with administration of Pakistan and the Pakistan Army will support the move enthusiastically. While indicting to further instigate violence in Kashmir, Syed said that 'India is not prepared to give Kashmiris their rights which they demand, so far lakhs of them have died, his organization believes that if India fires bullets on Kahsmiris, then the only answer to that is jihad and it has become clear now. Hafiz also supported separatist Leader Masrat Alam's move to hoist Pakistan flags in Kashmir and said that 'how is it justified to arrest Masarat Alam as according to him he had hoisted a Pakistani flag in Kashmir and not in Delhi and Kashmir is disputed area, so nothing is wrong in it. Hafiz syed for whom united states of America has offereda $10 million bounty, has called for jihad in Jammu and Kashmir several times in the past as well and LeT dreaded commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, a close aide of Syed who was recently freed from jail, has for long guided militant activities inJammu and Kashmir in the past.
Meanwhile according to reports Pakistan's Foreign Office criticised what it claimed was the 'brutal use of force' in Jammu and Kashmir and in their statement said that 'Pakistan regarded the Kashmiries' struggle for their right to self determination legitimate as sanctified by the UN resolutions and added that Pakistan has consistently extended diplomatic, moral and political support to Kashmiris struggle for self-determination. Pakistan deplores the brutal use of force by Indian security forces against peaceful and unarmed Kashmiris.'
