Jammu, May 1: A minor was found dead in underground water tank here in Mental Retarded Home at Rama Channi, on Friday. Police have initiated inquest proceedings in this regard.
"The deceased has been identified as Sadanand (10 years). The deceased was a mentally retarded person," police sources said.
Police sources said, "The deceased went missing today and for the purpose to trace him the employees of the Mental Retarded Home were searching him. "During his search, the minor was found dead in the under water tank inside the premises, sources said further adding, "the administration of home informed the police immediately. "
"Narwal Police accordingly registered a case under section 174 CrPC," police sources said.
"Police after taking the custody of body got the postmortem conducted while the autopsy reports arte awaited, police sources said. |
