Arrest him on sedition charges, demand nationalist forces | Pak flags in Geelani's rally at Tral | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Jammu, May 1: Nearly 15 days after Geelani addressed an anti-India rally at Hyderpora in Srinagar and his supporters raised Pakistan flags to welcome him, the same feat was repeated at Tral in south Kashmir on Friday after Hurriyat hawk arrived there and addressed yet another rally and spew venom against India. Syed Ali Shah Geelani was today allowed by the BJP-PDP government to visit Tral where he addressed a gathering after Friday prayers during which his supporters raised Pakistani flags, and pro-Pakistani slogans. As soon as the news of Geelani's anti-India rally came to fore, the nationalist forces across India demanded his immediate arrest without wasting anytime saying "Any leniency can harm the peace and tranquility and urged upon the Mufti Syed led PDP-BJP government to put Geelani behind the bars on sedition charges." Geelani while addressing the gathering demanded that duration of the pilgrimage of annual Amarnath Yatra be restricted. "The annual Amarnath Yatra should be conducted for minimum 15 days and maximum a month and not beyond that period," Geelani said. He also warned the government against resettling Kashmiri Pandits in separate townships and termed it as an attempt to create Israel like township wherein Jews have settled in colonies. "It is being said that our Pandit brothers, who left, have to be resettled. We have never opposed their return. We have been saying for years that they should be brought back, but they should be allowed to live among us. The creation of separate neighborhoods for them is not acceptable to us," Geelani said, and added that "Our Sikh brothers are living among us in Tral safely, and I say this to our Hindu and Christian brothers: Islam teaches us that we must never discriminate with others on the basis of profession, region, class, language, and so on". Waving of Pakistani flags, chanting of anti-Indian slogans and Pro-Pakistan slogans is not new during Geelani's rally and the critics blame the Jammu and Kashmir government's soft approach towards separatist and anti-India forces. It was after huge public outcry all over India, Mufti Government on April 15 Registered FIR No. FIR No 92 /2015 under sections 13 Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 120-B, 147,341,336,427 RPC at Police Station Budgam against Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Masarat Alam Bhat, Bashir Ahmad Bhat alias Peer Saifullah and other separatist leaders for provocative activities and hoisting Pakistani flag at Hyderpora in uptown Srinagar , but among these police only arrested Masarat Alam Butt onApril 17, 2015 after Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Syed who holds Home Ministry portfolio buckled under pressure from his alliance partner BJP, while all other anti-India elements including Syed Ali Shah Geelani were allowed to go scot free and today's anti-India and Pro-Pakistani rally of Geelani at Tral is the outcome of the said leniency given to Geelani by PDP-BJP government of Jammu and Kashmir after his April 15 anti- India rally at Srinagar. Masarat Alam is presently lodged in Jammu's Kotbalwal jail under Public Safety Act. It is pertinent to mention that the government has spent more than Rs 550 Crore public money on the security and high profile visits of separatist in past five years and time has come to withdraw the security cover of all these anti national elements so that more public money could be saved frombeing drained.
