| KCPS stages street play on 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 1: The students of KC Public School staged two street plays on the theme of 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' at Jammu University. The play highlighted the message that cleanliness is the first step to save our environment from pollution and degradation. The first performance was put up in front of the Vice Chancellor and senior faculty members of the University which was applauded with vociferous clapping and cheering by the audience. The second performance was presented at Law School premises where it once again received thunderous applause. The message that in today's world it is imperative for us to understand the need of cleanliness was conveyed emphatically through the street play. It was a tribute to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi who rightly believed that 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness'. The collaborative programme organized by Dr. Seema Rohmetra, Professor of Law at the University of Jammu and Convenor of the Gandhi Peace Foundation, was a great success. |
