Modi Govt to announce new plan for KPs' return to Valley | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 20: The Modi government is likely to soon announce a new plan for the return of Kashmir Pandits to the valley. The plan is likely to be on the lines of demand of Homeland, a secured zone on the lines of the union territory. Sources said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed the home minister to draft a new plan on the return of KPs, which will ensure their safety and also on the lines of the their sensibilities. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had in rally in Jammu and also at some other events indicated the formulation of the new plan on the return of the KPs. Sources said the Modi is disturbed over the reported growing anger and disenchantment among the KPs with the return policies of the Modi government. "The PM was first unhappy with the opposition of the separatists to the plan of separate colonies for the KPs. The reports of the anger among KPs about his government has disturbed him, as he was seen as the 'sole' hope of the return of KPs. It's for the reason that he has firmly directed the home ministry to draft a plan on the lines of the homeland and get it approved and executed even if there is any opposition to it from any quarter," said a senior official in the Home Ministry. Sources said the Prime Minister wants the execution of the plan at the earliest as it would also send the message to the separatists that he means business and would not wilt unlike his predecessors. "The Prime Minister has a special plan for the J&K. the BJP has come to power by banking only on him as it got 25 seats. Modi a staunch RSS worker is working on bringing fundamental change to the narrative of the J&K so that it's not limited to separatists. And, this will be executed soon,"sources informed. |
