HC disposes of PIL regarding Samba court complex construction 6/20/2015 11:27:44 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 20: In a PIL filed by one Ganesh Sharma seeking construction of District Court Complex at Samba, a high court division bench of Chief Justice N Paul Vasantakumar and Justiced Dhiraj Singh Thakur observed that during pendency of the petition, the department has taken up the matter and passed orders sanctioning Rs 20.27 cr for construction of District Court Complex at Samba. Out of the approved cost of Rs 20.27 cr, an amount of Rs 244 lakh (Rs. 61 lakh State Government share and Rs 183lakh Central Government share) stands released in favour of the Corporation. The bench observed that in view of the subsequent development, the prayer made in the writ petition is rendered infructuous. If any necessity arises, it is open for the petitioner to project his grievance in separate proceedings and closed the proceedings of the PIL.
