Interstate fraudster gang selling 'celestial material' busted in Samba | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 20: With the arrest of six persons, the Samba police claimed to have busted an interstate gang that allegedly has duped people for selling them "Trattgola' so called 'celestial substance' describing it costly in the international market for its unique properties. "The accused have been identified namely as Mohd Imran s/o Aziz Ahmed of Lucknow, Parshotam Goswami s/o Hoshiyar Goswami of Merut (UP), Rakesh Kumar s/o Laxmi Narayan of UP, Kamal Kapoor s/o Banwari Lal of Delhi, Munish Kumar s/o Ramesh Chander of Delhi and Jagdish Kataria s/o Soberan Singh of Kullu Himachal Pradesh," the police said. Police said, "On specific input, the Samba Police led by Inspector Sanjeev Chib, SHO P/S Samba under the supervision of Varinder Singh, DySP HQ, Samba busted interstate gang of fraudsters by apprehending six accused persons during a raid conducted at Sharda Guest House in Samba town of Samba district. Police said that the gang of fraudsters under a well crafted modus operandi was operating in different states is luring people on the pretext that they have the some celestial material called "Trattgola" which drops down during thunderous lightening from the sky and has value in crores of rupees in the International market for its unique properties. "Accordingly, during their telephonic conversation they lured one Parshotam Lal s/o Vikram Chand of Arazi Samba and who on the directions of one of accused Mohd Imran, deposited Rs 5 lakhs and Sixty thousand rupees in his account, police said, "when the above mentioned gang reported in District Samba to handover the so called material "Trattgola" to Parshotam Lal of District Samba they demanded more money for the delivery of so called unique celestial substance. "Feeling duped the local lodged a complaint with Samba Police, police said, following which Police team raided the above mentioned Guest House and nabbed accused. During sustained questioning, the accused disclosed that they have not any such material and were taking money from the people by duping them on one pretext or the other, police added "However, during their search, no such material was recovered from their possession, police said, accordingly a case FIR No. 107/2015 u/s 420 RPC was the other sections of law stands registered against the six accused. Meanwhile District Police Samba has appealed the general public not to fall prey to such elements and immediately report such matters to police for strict action against them. |
