Ex MLA appeals AIIMS Coordination Committee to beware of BJP's political gimmick | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 20: Appealing AIIMS Coordination Committee (ACC) to remains united and continue struggle for bringing the AIIMS at Jammu, Ex MLA and General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Pardesh Congress Committee, Thakur Balwan Singh alleged that BJP is trying to hotchpotch the important issue by playing tactics. Raising question on BJP, Ex MLA Thakur Balwan Singh said that If BJP is agreed to establish AIIMS at Jammu, they should immediately issue a notification in this regard instead of signs on a simple document. "If Central Finance Minister or Health Minister or Chief Minister of J&K signs on assurance document then we can understand but there is no creditability of the document which has been signed by Deputy Chief Minister and Forest Minister Bali Bhagat, "he added. Hitting out at BJP, he charged BJP for misleading and deceiving the people of Jammu on the AIIMS issue and he asked the Health Minster of the State, as Minister have been saying that the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government had given an AIIMS to Jammu in 2003, and then Health Minister Sushma Swaraj had laid its foundation stone, but successive Congress governments at the Centre and the state had converted it into a super-specialty hospital, BJP have any notification or written document regarding AIIMS was given to Jammu in 2003. He further said that people of Jammu were not against setting up of AIIMS in Kashmir, but the party wants the right of people of Jammu must not be snatched from them. As well as, if the AIIMS will be established in Valley, no one from Jammu prefers to go in Kashmir for treatment due to militancy and disturbance in valley. He also said congress will continue struggle for the establishment of AIIMS in Jammu till the demands take formal shape. The agitation for AIIMS at Jammu will continue till it is formally announced by the Government of India. |
